That's Life!!!!

When I got enough confidence,
The stage was gone.

When I was sure of losing,
I won.

When I needed people the most,
They left me.

When I learnt to dry my tears,
I found a shoulder to cry on.

When I mastered the skill of hating,
Somebody started loving me.

That's Life!!!!
Enjoy life.....!

The RACE Is NOT OVER

The Most Determinative & Motivating
Sentence Which should Always
Be Followed In Life.
The RACE Is NOT OVER
Because I Haven't WON Yet

Its better to be a

Entire water of the sea can't sink a ship
unless it gets inside the ship.

In love with green...

They need you this summer ...

They need you this Summer

Please keep in your garden/veranda/terrace/window sill..a large, shallow, earthen pot with clean water for birds.
Birds need water to drink (especially in summer) and to have a bath. Change the water everyday. Clean the vessel every week. Additionally, you could keep out some bird seed--bajra, broken rice, puffed rice..to make their job easier.
The bonus is a lot of birds you didn't know existed in your neighborhood  will come visiting--i have counted about 20 species in two days, from my table..
please leave a deeper pot/vessel outside your gates, for stray dogs--who die of thirst in their heat..
Many thanks, and do spread the word.

You know the victim hood of love; help me be a holocaust of love
You know the victory of love; help me burn that I may
Join in your triumph of love!

You wanna get motivated??

ONE PARAGRAPH THAT EXPLAINS LIFE!

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player, was dying of CANCER. From world over, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease?" To this Arthur Ashe replied "The world over -- 5 crore children start playing tennis, 50 lakh learn to play tennis, 5 lakh learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach , 50 reach the grand slam Wimbledon, 4 to the semifinals, 2 to the finals. When I was holding a cup, I never asked GOD "Why me?" And today in pain I should not be asking GOD "Why me?"

Happiness keeps u sweet....Trials keep u strong....Sorrow keeps u human....Failure keeps u humble....Success keeps u glowing....But only God keeps u going!!!!

"Always remember that every good friend was once a complete stranger"

"Some people see things as they are, and say why; I see things that never were, and say why not" - Robert Kennedy

"A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist!"

"Love is love only when what you do and what you do not do doesn't change my love for you"

"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted"

Waste?

I went to the shop today to purchase a top-up card. Rs. 50, in fact. Almost every person would be familiar with the process of scratching the card, entering the “pin number” and use it to recharge your mobile phone account. But what happens to the card after you use it? I found that it effortlessly slipped out of my hand and dropped to the ground below, one more entity added to the increasing pile of plastic and paper waste that was already there. It was at this moment that I felt a sense of guilt; that I wasn't supposed to do this. Having read all about keeping our environment clean, the hazards of pollution, recycling and waste management; it amazes me to think of the fact that we are so accustomed to throwing things away – that we dispose of things without a second thought.

Well, with regard to the top-up card – it is printed on paper only about 5 cm x 5 cm (just a small card, do I hear u say?). People in metros probably use easy recharge more often, but in a majority of places like the city (New Delhi) I live in, these cards have a widespread use.  And almost always, these cards end up adding to the pile of garbage. In fact, these don’t even go to a dustbin but only contribute to the litter on the ground. This is not limited to just recharge cards, but is the same case with bus or train tickets, office papers, used paper cups, plastic bags and stuff. And most of these never go for recycling anyway. We just go on, running to complete our daily errands, mindless of the waste that we keep dumping every day.

I don’t know if my thoughts are feasible or practical, but everyone has a freedom to express their views, so I want to share my ideas as well. The problem of accumulating waste could be effectively managed by proper organization.  The cards and tickets could easily be collected from the consumers, and recycled.  Every industry that generates a large amount of paper waste could have its own small recycling set up that could “mange its own waste”.  We need to take a major responsibility for cleaning up all the waste that we have generated. That might be difficult, but for some common little things, it can be achieved with the help of a little organized measures....

Poems that touch the heart

"The night has a thousand eyes
And the day but one
Yet the light of day fades
With the dying sun.

The mind has a thousand eyes
And the heart but one
Yet the light of life fades
When love is done."

- Sir Francis Bourdillon

Impressive lines

“... to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.”

“As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all -- the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them."

“...to have been loved so deeply, even though the person who loved us is gone,
will give us some protection forever.”

“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." – Dumbledore

“... what would come, would come ... and he would have to meet
it when it did”

“... the true master of death does not seek to run away from Death. He accepts that he must die, and understands that there are far, far worse things in the living world than dying”

“The secret of happiness is to see all the marvels of the world, and never to forget the drops of oil on the spoon."

“To realize one's destiny is a person's only real obligation....And, when you want something,
all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

“Making a decision was only the beginning of things. When someone makes a decision, he is really diving into a strong current that will carry him to places he had never dreamed of when he first made the decision.”

"You must understand that love never keeps a man from pursuing his destiny. If he abandons that pursuit, it's because it wasn't true love… the love that speaks the Language of the World."

“Tell your heart that the fear of suffering is worse than the suffering itself. And that no heart has ever suffered when it goes in search of its dreams, because every second of the search is a second's encounter with God and with eternity”

“Every search begins with beginners luck and ends with the victor's being severely tested””When you are loved, you can do anything in creation. When you are loved, there's no need at all to understand what's happening, because everything happens within you.”

"If what one finds is made of pure matter, it will never spoil. And one can always come back. If what you had found was only a moment of light, like the explosion of a star, you would find nothing on your return."

“Every individual creature on this planet is created by God to fulfil a particular role... We are all born with a divine fire in us. Our efforts should be to give wings to this fire and fill the world with the glow of its goodness."

“Desire, when it stems from the heart and spirit, when it is pure and intense, possesses awesome electromagnetic energy. This energy is released into the ether each night, as the mind falls into sleep state. Each morning it returns to the conscious state reinforced with the cosmic currents. That which has been imaged will surely and certainly be manifested.”
“All reasonable men adapt themselves to the world. Only a few unreasonable ones persist in trying to adapt the world to themselves. All the progress in the world depends on these unreasonable men and their innovative and often non-conformist actions” (G.B.Shaw)
“Total commitment is not just hard work, it is total involvement. Building a rock wall is back-breaking work. There are some people who build rock walls all their lives. And when they die, there are miles of walls, mute testimonials to how hard those people had worked.
But there are other men who while placing one rock on top of another have a vision in their minds, a goal. It may be a terrace with roses climbing over the rock walls and chairs set out for lazy summer days. Or the rock wall may enclose an apple orchard or mark a boundary. When they finish, they have more than a wall. It is the goal that makes the difference.”

“God can do tremendous things through the person who doesn’t care who gets the credit. The ego involvement must go. Before God trusts you with success, you have to prove yourself humble enough to handle the big prize.” (Robert Schuller)
